Working with Derk-Jan on his birthday party was a genuine pleasure. The event revolved around a flying and planes theme, reflecting his deep passion—and lifelong career—in aviation. As a fellow plane enthusiast, I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting concept to bring to life.
For this project, I designed a set of event visuals, including menu cards, boarding passes, and message cards, while also managing the event registration process.

The map on the left-hand side of the menu highlighted a pivotal moment in Derk-Jan’s company journey. These milestones were cleverly echoed in the dishes served throughout the evening.

The geographical coordinates mark the event’s location—a subtle nod to aviation that I couldn’t resist adding!

The party’s concept had guests 'flying' to their next destination. Each person got a custom boarding pass, guiding them to their seat for every course.
